PDU's worth the time to earn

We grow on our own but sometimes need to prove it to others. Professional Development Units (PDUs) can be earned a variety of ways and keeping track can keep you motivated.  Maypop content can translate to CEUs and PDUs for common certifications in our fields, making your investment in growth do more.

Real learning.  Simple tracking.  Less scramble later.

  • Not tied to one certifying body

  • Built for intentional learning

  • Made to easily document/report as needed

As generally applied, a PDU is a professional development unit, or one contact hour of professional development activity.  A CEU is a continuing education unit, representing the value of the activity.

One professional development activity hour = 1 PDU

1 CEU = 10 PDUs

While not all change leadership discipline-related certifications require renewal through continuing education, some do and a fundamental part of career maintenance is to keep your credentials up to date.   It's also good to track your own development trajectory.   Each organization further defines how PDUs are earned and CEUs are counted, and some employers have similar professional development requirements.

Here are a few links to information on development requirements from common renewing certifications:

Professional development is part of the job, and tracking that it's getting done is a good leadership practice for yourself and your team.
